I was shocked when I realized that I was taking care of everyone else except myself…and I was unhappy. I embarked on a journey exploring myself. Here I was, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, well educated in human emotions and behavior, with a Masters Degree in Clinical Holistic Health Education and Counseling...and it was difficult to admit that my training did not prepare me for the challenges I was facing in my own life. I was stressed out and overextended.

I remember the day that I finally admitted that even though my life looked perfect to everyone else, I was secretly suffering. I was extremely unhappy. My education and the classic approach of all therapy trained me to diagnose and treat problems not cultivate solutions. Finally I realized that the old way was not working for me and I had to figure out a new solution to my very common experience of feeling out of balance and literally cut off from feeling pleasure.
